  7.  DESCRIPTION:

  10.    This application is a standard File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client 
  11.    application for Windows Sockets.  The user interface for this FTP 
  12.    client is designed with the ELiTE FTP user in mind.  Usage should 
  13.    be obvious.  For more information on FTP please refer to the many
  14.    different Warez IRC channels on the Internet.

  17.  REQUIREMENTS:

  20.    WaReZ! requires you to have a properly installed WINSOCK.DLL 
  21.    and requires Windows 3.1 or later.
  22.    
  23.      If you don't have a WINSOCK.DLL, I'd suggest getting the 
  24.      free one from Microsoft or the shareware Trumpet Winsock 
  25.      from ftp.trumpet.com.au or buying a vendor supported one 
  26.      from Ipswitch, Inc. or from FTP Software, Inc.
  27.    
  28.    WaReZ! requires a 286 processor.

  31.  INSTALLATION:

  34.    YOU MUST HAVE A PROPERLY INSTALLED WINSOCK.DLL FOR THIS APPLICATION
  35.    TO WORK.  REFER TO YOUR WINSOCK.DLL DOCUMENTATION FOR SETUP!!

  37.    1. Create a directory for this program and copy WaReZ!.EXE, 
  38.       WaReZ!.INI, WaReZ!.EXT and WaReZ!.HLP to that directory.

  40.    2. Create an ICON in any Program Manager group.
  41.       a. Use the File Manager and drag the program into a Program
  42.          Manager group.
  43.       b. Use [F]ile [N]ew in the Program Manager.

  46.  UPDATING FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS:

  49.    PLEASE KEEP YOUR OLD WaReZ!.INI FILE!!!!

  51.    If you have problems with this version, edit your old INI file
  52.    and delete the [_config_] section and restart WaReZ!.

  68.  KNOWN PROBLEMS

  71.    Many internet providers require you to use PASV mode in order
  72.      for WaReZ! to work properly.  If you always get "Dirlist
  73.      returned 0", try changing this setting under Advanced in the
  74.      Connect dialog or in Session Options.  This is NOT a true
  75.      problem in WaReZ! but is a requirement of your network
  76.      provider.
  77.      
  78.    Some versions of the Trumpet Winsock DLL require you to use
  79.      PASV mode.  See the above note.
  80.      
  81.    WaReZ! does not work properly under some versions of the SPRY
  82.      stack.  You need to contact SPRY to get an upgraded stack
  83.      that is Winsock compliant.
  84.    
  85.    There is a directory called "aF" in all listings, this directory
  86.     is the same as the <..> diretory.
